Getting the Scoop on Space for Kids

This week, we're getting our foot in the door of an exciting new project. The European Southern Observatory has teamed up with the Universe Awareness project to produce kid-friendly versions of press releases on astronomy.

Space Scoop

The new astro venture is called Space Scoop, and they take the releases written for journalists and interested adults and retool them so that they are appropriate for kids roughly from the ages of 7 to 11.

Our press release today on the pair of supermassive black holes is Chandra's first leap into Space Scoop. We think this is a fantastic idea and we hope this is just one of many stories we can work on together going forward.
