During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. A real-time procedure was executed on Oct. 28 to disable SCS-26. Following the swap to the mixed-IRU configuration with both IRU's powered, the HRMA average temperature has been higher than in the previous single-IRU configuration. In this state, solar heating could cause a trip of the Chandra observatory thermal health check and run SCS-26, leading to an unnecessary thermal equipment swap. Disabling SCS-26 prevents this possibility. A patch of the HRMA average temperature health check limit is planned prior to re-enabling SCS-26. The schedule of targets for the next week is still in work. |
All spacecraft subsystems continued to support nominal operations.
