Operations CXO Status Report, 27 December 2019, 9.00am EDT During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the ninth and tenth (final) eclipses of the season on Dec 22 and 25 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. Realtime procedures were executed on Dec 25 to disable SCS-29 and to dump and clear the EPS glitch counters as post-eclipse season actions. Of recent note was the release on Dec 17 of the Cycle 22 Call for
Proposals. The proposal submission deadline is 17 March 2020. In
conjunction with the call was the release of the CIAO 4.12
analysis software system, CALDB 4.9.0, DS9 8.1, and MARX 5.5.0. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of NGC4045XT-1, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Dec 10. |
