During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Real-time procedures were executed on July 30-31 to update Chandra's gyro configuration. Since October 2018 Chandra has been using one gyro from each of two inertial reference units (IRU) for normal operations; this configuration has been updated to two gyros from the same IRU in order to provide added operational robustness in the event of safe modes, to extend gyro lifetime, and to provide thermal benefits from a reduced heat load. At the conclusion of these procedures Chandra has resumed normal science operations. Additional real-time procedures were executed during each ground contact to reset the DSN Outage Dead Man Load. Of note this week was the announcement on Jul 27 of the Cycle 22 Peer Review recommended programs.
