During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the third and fourth eclipses of the season on Nov 22 and 25 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. Real-time procedures were executed during each ground contact to reset the DSN Outage Dead Man Load. Of note this week was the release on Nov 24 of version 2.0.1 of the Chandra Source Catalog. This updates intra-observation and inter-observation variability properties to resolve two issues detected in release 2.0. For details see: https://cxc.harvard.edu/. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of Xi Boo coordinated with HST, an observation of eMACS J1823.1+7822 coordinated with HST, an observation of WR 140 coordinated with XMM, and an observation of 1A0535+262, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Nov 13 and is coordinated with HST and NRAO. |
