Last week observations were resumed at 12:49pm on Nov 25 after the Nov 22 solar interruption have continued as planned. The 12 targets impacted by the event will be rescheduled in a future week.
A press release was issued on Nov 29 to announce the first X-ray view of the planet Venus. For details and the image itself see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/press/01_releases/press_112901.html. The schedule of observations for the coming week is shown below and includes an observation of PHL 1811 coordinated with the Hubble Space Telescope and a series of calibration observations of the oxygen rich supernova remnant E0102-72. |
