During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.
Observations included a target of opportunity, the gamma ray burster GRB020813. This TOO required replanning the schedule in less than a day, interrupting the command load, and uplinking a substitute load using a real-time procedure. The third eclipse of the current season, and the longest of the mission so far, occurred on August 12 with nominal power and thermal performance. The observing schedule for next week is shown below. It includes the completion of last weeks observation of the Groth-Westphal field, which had been interrupted to accommodate the gamma ray burster TOO. |
