During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to include an observation of the Gamma Ray Burster H2650 that was accepted as a 1 day turn-around Target Of Opportunity (TOO) on 28 Mar. A portion of the raster scan observation of the NOAO field was rescheduled later in the week.
A real-time procedure was completed on Mar 30 to perform a manual unload of momentum using thrusters A-1 (100%), A-2 and A-3. The unload duration was longer than expected for nominal thruster performance and consistent with prior anomalous unloads. A software patch was uplinked to allow collection of high sample rate telemetry of the bus current, and the data are under analysis. The Gyro-1 current in the Inertial Reference Unit (IRU-1) was observed above its yellow limit level (150 mA) during a pass on April 3. The level remained high on the subsequent pass and engineering assessment by the design engineers and vendor is underway. |
