During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to incorporate an observation of GRB141031A, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Oct 31. A planned observation of Mrk 22 was impacted by the replan and will be rescheduled in a future week. A real-time procedure was executed on Nov 5 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. Of note this week was the release on Nov 4 of version 4.6.7 of the Contributed Scripts and Modules package. Included in the package were new scripts to combine spectra from positive and negative grating orders and to convert a Type II PHA file to a set of Type I source and background PHA files. For details see: http://cxc.harvard.edu/ciao/news.html The replanned schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of NGC 247, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time TOO on Oct 21, an observation of IC 10 X-1 coordinated with NuSTAR, and observations of Mrk590 and the Crab coordinated with HST. |
